10 Things That Marketers Do That Don't Work


So the other day I stumbled across an interesting article about some things that just don't work for marketers, I thought I would share them so you don't do these things in your business.. Enjoy!

10 Things That Marketers Do That Don't Work

(I know some of these sound a bit crazy :)
1. Some of you are trying to sell steak to vegetarians
The most hungry Vegetarians will not even buy the best steak in the world.
So if you think about what you have to offer, Not everyone will buy it or like it (The truth)
2. Marketers Rely on their ‘list’
This doesn't always work.  Most new marketers have friends and family making up most of their list and they don't want to buy and use your product or service,  they are more of a support figure for you not your biz.
3. Promote their replicated website
In case you missed my email the other day about replicated websites, the gist is, they’re not meant to sell. End of story.
4. Throw up on their prospects
This is a big one.. no wants you shouting out your opportunity if they don't even know you. Get to know your prospect and see what they are like and what they are truly looking for and what can help them succeed.  If you product will help them, then offer it to them but don't shout it in their face.

5. New Markers try to "Buy Leads"
Even if you can afford those 'company sponsored’ leads, Don't buy them.
They’re sold to multiple distributors for super high prices. They are just going to take your money and leave you with a false sense of hope.
Work on  generating your own and can do so for less than $10/ highly qualified lead (Real targeted leads and traffic)

6. Not doing the right thing
Taking massive actions daily that get you paid: prospecting, presenting, closing, and then repeat. Be consistent.
7. Become socially 'unsociable’
Meet new people, post interesting articles on your blog with your link attached, make videos,
do things that will attract,  Don't share your webpage with your friends and family.  They don't want to buy from you.  FACT

8. Marketers Hate selling
Look, you don't have to be a salesmen.  Sell yourself not your product.You just have to share who you are, not what your offer is.  Once someone likes what you share from who you are, they will join you.
Yes, It's that easy
9. Selling the Gold
The ONLY way to build a big residual income (that’s what you want right?) is to build a team.
News Flash! 
Don't sell them the hype and the money.  When you do that most everyone that signed up will quit.
Sell them what they need, what will help them out with their issues or struggles.
10. They sit and wait for a miracle
Don't wait for things to happen to you just because you "joined" a company. Get up daily, be consistent, take actions, make videos write blogs, meet new prospects
